Wed. Apr. 20: Focused on sequence of "loosen, soften, stretchy feeling": Loosening swings - really settled in well and felt that loosening is getting more consistent, as long as i remember to keep the sense of ease i can keep the looseness. Kept knees over toes better and worked on folding at kuas. Bitter Pill - felt good today, nice ease and stretchy feeling and shoulder joints softened a little more. Alignment improved and was easier to maintain as long as i stayed at "ease". However, still a slight bit of head forward of hips and mingmen not opening as much as it could. Overall good session. Circling hands/open close - still slightly "swimming" the knees but felt that the opening and closing of the kuas was more apparent. Circling hands was seemingly tension free and was very nice to experience, although wasn't as light on the feet today. Leg/knee lifting exercise - getting better at raising by expanding and keeping the weight neutral, but can only go so high before i begin recruiting pelvic muscles, at least i'm not using the calves.
note: keep "ease" and begin with looseness, if you lose it start it over. good practice today
