TJ Oct. 2

Sun. Oct. 2:  I'm finding that to truly get the meat sunk I have to do one of two (or both) things prior to even beginning a practice session.  First, I have to do either sitting or standing meditation, otherwise trying to get the meat sunk is like being in quicksand.  And/or finding someone to push on me a little, this always gets the meat sunk, or it leaves no choice.  Once I reach the sunk point I can find it more easily, or can bring it about more easily.  Another thing to help is finding the bones for neutral, I also find that this helps with connectivity, spiraling coordination of the joints, and yin and yang balance.  Trouble areas seem to be the chest and shoulders, it takes a real conscious effort to keep them out of the equation.  I suppose the fact that my normal (poor) posture is sort of head forward with closed cervical region and the chest is tight and traps engaged.  So releasing these areas feels strange at first, almost like I'm going backward, but I do find much more ease once I settle into it.  Can't seem to keep the points when trying to make power on fajin exercises, keep throwing the muscles into it, at least on the first few reps anyway.  Trying to keep the frustration down, sometimes it gets so great that I can't even keep the practice going.  I seem to take great leaps backward in development sometimes.  I think its a mental issue perhaps, gonna have to work on it once I figure it out.
