Fri. July 8: Goood practice this morning. Spent the entire practice with just rocking, waving, yin triangle and bitter pill, but with complete focus on the principles (13 points). Really went step by step, one by one with the points. Started with the feet and 9-1, then went up to the knees, then kuas/hips, then dantian mingmen, etc. But had to first really let the tissues go, and really sink deep into the body to where the physical body was "around" me. This helped the tissues become sunk, and even the bones seemed pliable at that point. Wrapping the feet with the gentle spiral opened the "belt" and leveled it. The back began to spread. Noticed some presence in the shoulders, so just dropped them completely. When this happened the solar plexus and chest dropped, the crown began to gently float, and the mingmen began to open as the hands and arms went out and there was a distinct fullness in the finger tips. Then I began to allow the yang surfaces (all of them) spread laterally and the mingmen opened some more. The elbows dropped under and pointed downward. At this point most everthing began to become a little more aligned. This is a very free and gentle/easy feeling, the posture is very freeing. I try now to be this way all day.
Also not only were the tissues released better today, but as I tried to bring the 13 closer and closer to correct (in very slight and gentle increments) and the tissues did something else, they began this kind of wrapping around. The felt a little like very soft rubber and from the mingmen down they dropped around the outside and slipped down the legs. And from the top of the mingmen they crawled up and around the underside of the armpits, and then from the posterior portion of the arm under the deltoid they wrapped around the outside of the arms. This caused the elbows to wrap even more downward and the finger tips began to spread as the hands opened. The crown and perineum points seemed to try and go farther away from each other while not moving. And everything kind of "flushed" or "drained" down into the perineum. I tried to concentrate on keeping this state during each exer. If it faded I would slow down and try to get it back before proceeding. It was a good practice today, really good focus. This is a great art.
