Thur. Oct. 6: Great practice today. Did almost every exercise even though slightly tired. But as practice went on, became renewed as 13 points and qualities began to come together a little. Typically, I'll fidget around with distances... like between feet in ready stance, hands and arms from torso, etc. But, when getting proper "up the back, down the front" the alignements come into place and the body wrapping and stretching from crown to toes creates these ratios naturally. Found that stepping back to ready stance, or for reverse step, etc. that my legs and feet just knew where to go in relation to my hips and waist. The buddha smile comes about with just minimal effort and the mingmen really expands dropping the perineum down to the balance beam line with a slight hip roll. Focusing on supporting the crown upward while dropping the face the yin surfaces go down smoothly and the body becomes taught and stretchy, capable of withstanding more force from pushes. Also, the arm and hand movements (with dropping elbows taught as well) hang and extend from the shoulder kuas and it's a very nice feeling. On waving drills, the arms and hands lift and drop and circle all on their own from the spine and back while the feet pull up and push down (quality not movement so much) along side the absorb project. It's a nice feel and really initiates and supports the yang expansion and yin absorption. Even did a little yang form with these principles (with focus specifically on up the back through the crown point and down the front to wrapping feet) and the relationships of the limbs and torso/waist as well as stepping and arm movements retained their porportion. Anyway, it was a good practice and it felt correct throughout. It felt very exploratory, and I believe some recognition took place.
