TJ Nov. 16

Wed. Nov. 16:  Keeping the center of gravity force on the center of the foot is a big one for me.  Finding this point is a series of different adjustments, very small, starting with the crown going down the body.  The smile at the corner of the mouth helps a lot.  If I can find the 'feeling' inside, then I can guide it down the body bit by bit. When the face relaxes it goes down to the c-spine, and this one is tough but allowing that to open speeds the process up in the upper body.  The chest sinks and the shoulders spread, and the neck and 'pits' below the collar bones sag downward, this is when the condense begins on the sternum  and dantian.  The mingmen starts its spreading too after this as the abdomen fills up.  Once that happens, I try to open the mingmen a bit more which kicks the yang surfaces going from the 'belt' meridian down the outside of the legs, this also pops the '1' empty into a suction condition adn the kuas release a bit.  As the perineum starts to drop more the psoas begins it's stretch and the entire back section of the waist line/mingmen/buttocks flattens and spreads, and this begins the wrapping of the feet action and the energy on the big toe comes about more strongly.  With more release, calming and getting the meat sunk, and opening the awareness, the point on the center of the feet begins to become more and more substantial, and if I can continue to release the body makes even more micro adjustments and the 'stacking' will begin to occur, things just sitting one on top of the other from top to bottom with a bit of 'curve' going posteriorly.  If things keep going down, the center of the bottom of the foot becomes 'bloated' for lack of a better term.  And then from there is a very real 'stretch' deep in the body, all the way through.  It seems to concentrate somewhere in the pelvic/mingmen region, and it's very springy and almost bouyant?  The fingertips get a strange tingly/tugging/stretchy feeling as well.  If all of these things are going on, then the movement seems 'pure', it's seemingly effortless and i/qi/li is simpler to practice.  In this state, all of the condensing and absorbing and expanding and projecting 'just happen' when the body is in motion.  The legs are full and expanding laterally and the upper body is extremely light, and just sticking up or sitting atop the lower body.

Now, getting to this point is one thing, but keeping it for longer than 15 seconds is another.  Once again, I believe 'intention on the attention' is a big factor in keeping the concentration to where this state can be maintained.  But, if I keep my mind on 'release, release, release' then i can keep it a little longer.  The only problems so far I've run into are trying to keep this going while trying to make power.  Upon quicker, or more explosive movements like fajin exer. or wiping, etc., the moment the speed accelerates the body comes 'undone' for me.  If I do the movements more slowly I can keep it, and they feel a bit like the 'condensing' exer. we do, but i can't seem to find a way to bring the speed into them.
