Oops...

Wish I had checked to see the response from Kelly Sifu! Since I've been doing Yiquan inconsistently the last 4 years, I'm sort of used to holding standing postures for long periods. I'll remember to keep the standing portion short for now.

Anyway, I stood for a decent amount of time today while doing Bitter Pill following my run this morning. I felt very relaxed and sort of zoned out once I found a point where it felt like all of my joints were being perfectly supported to where I did not feel any tension. Of course this only lasted for a few seconds as my lats began to shake, causing me to have to slowly re-align everything.

I've been noticing my back is getting bigger since I started playing around with my olympic rings. Bigger muscles mean more tension, but I guess it just means I will have to work harder at relaxing. For now I will just enjoy the process. I will sit for Lesson 2 sometime this weekend. I'm looking forward to more corrections with the little bit I have learned so far and adding on more to practice & playtime!

My semester ends in 1 week, and it will be nice to have more time to spend practicing without having to worry about what I need to be studying or doing for school. I'm looking forward to getting deeper into this material.
