I have been really tired today. It was not from the training that I did yesterday, but more me staying up late and waking up early. My diet wasn't the best today either. After my post last night, I sampled the P90X recovery drink and poured at least 2 tablespoons of chia seeds in it. This morning I also hade some whey with milk and chia seeds. All that fiber had me feeling pretty full all morning even though I had not actually eaten anything.
I did 22 minutes of wuji standing this morning. I got some new shoes that have not hurt my feet, so far. I think one problem is that I've been wearing mostly minimalist shoes pretty much everyday for the last 9 months. These shoes mimic being barefoot, giving a more natural feel. The problem is that driving in cars, walking on concrete and flat paved surfaces is not natural. I think that's why my feet have been hurting so much the last few months. Before when I was doing hours of Taiji and yiquan wearing chuck Taylor's, I did not have these same issues with my feet. I guess it was because I would wear "regular" shoes to my classes. Even still, I think my chuck Taylor's have more support than some of those shoes.i am going to have to start wearing other shoes to give my feet a rest from the minimalist shoes, I guess.
I don't have much else to say...I'm really tired. I am hoping to review the first 4 weeks of classes and start 631 on Sunday. I want to add the exercises from the first few classes to my little routine that I have going. Speaking of which, I did not get to do that routine tonight. I was so hungry that my tummy would not let me do much practice tonight. Apparently my grandma's would not either. She asked me to get her some take-out Chinese. We had steamed rice, general tso's chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and some noodle dish with chicken.i have to work an evening shift at the gym tomorrow. I prefer to practice when it is cool, but I will not get off from work until after 9, so we will see about tomorrow.
