Havent posted anything in a good while. I have been wrestling with thoughts of moving on from the YMCA. I spent about 6 months trying to get hired as a trainer at the YMCA only to realize that I really ought to be working on my own. All of my plans for my many summer projects have fallen behind because I am jumping to run to the YMCA to stand around and not train. Even when Sifu was in town, I was pretty exhausted from waking up early mornings to go open the gym.
Well, my training business is starting to pick up. I hope to figure out how to do things completely on my own so that I can have the time and money to train the way I want to train...this is what is most important to me, and every day that I am doing other things that take me away for being able to train are not really productive days for me.
Anyway, I did a lot of wuji standing during my shift today. I know there was a period where I stood for 20 consecutive minutes. I only moved because I did not want people to think that I was asleep. Also we got some guys to bulldoze the backyard. I kept the really big tree which shades most of the backyard now. I want to put up a stand for some punching bags, but I really have a nice shaded area to practice some Taiji now!
Edit: I forgot to mention that my left shoulder is moving all over the place when I stand. My trapezius is like going crazy when I stand in wuji. I filmed myself last week, so I will try to speed up the video and get it posted.
