Introduction and first blog entry!

Hi everyone, I wanted to introduce myself here and say what an absolute pleasure it is to be here and have legitimate teaching and methods without having to travel. I plan to extensively train all of this material and hopefully one day instruct students of my own. I was absolutely stunned with the amount of humility of the instructor and from the students blog posts. I really feel like this place could very well be my home. It's awesome being here.

Finally, on about day 5 or 6 of my training. Luckily, I work at a quiet shop where I can practice sitting meditation and the other exercises given by Sifu and spend all day studying the material. My girlfriend has convinced me to go on a raw diet (80/10/10) which has made me feel the best I ever have in a long time. On top of this diet I thought it would be a good idea in helping me becoming lose to take up Yoga for the Sifu on Demand class, so I signed up for Dharma Yoga and do about five 75-90 minute sessions a week. I also do about 1-2 hours of sitting meditation each day but now it might go up depending on what this class has to offer!

So far from the training (essentially just the bitter pill) is that we are constantly carrying around a lot of unconscious tension throughout the day, its helped me realize to keep myself very mindful of my body and how/where I keep my tension throughout the day. While doing the bitterpill today I'm always focusing on my awareness and where my awareness is brought through my body. I have a lot of tension in the upper back and neck area that is difficult to release but I'm sure it will with time.
