Moving Through Stillness

This is sort of a halfway point check in/haven’t been able to regularly resume class check in. I’ve moved through about half of the material in the stillness module; my initial experiences with my new friend the Transverse Couple (TC) were that the Foot Couple (FC) really does lead to the possibility of the experience of the TC. The FC for the last couple months of Standing was creating a lot of pulling across my hips, and admittedly I had spent a good 6 months on the module, but it seems more and more this was a good thing as that pulling on my hips really quickly assembled into a perception of the TC. And while the disk is still faint at times the quietness from the ribs can be quite profound, even in seated practice if I include the TC and the stillness of the ribs in my object of meditation I’ve found that I can achieve a freeze effect much quicker.

Also kicks have become much easier and enjoyable. Catch chicken and the step tap kicks are becoming more a daily practice. To initiate a kick with a bend feels so different to a conventional kick it was almost surprising how much I enjoyed it, as usually kicking practice while very effective for some exercise, always seemed to put my hips out of whack if done too much. No such discomfort has been experienced on these methods since the TC has been activated and started regulating my bending.
