A quick note on a harvest from my holiday practice that I want to follow up on when home. I have been exploring lighter and lighter yi. What is Yi , how much Yi to effect some change. This morning I felt that using the lightest intent I could register seemed to have a more subtle effect on the cavities but that this more subtle 'stretch' encompassed a greater area than my more 'doing involved" stretch, but subjectively doesn't 'feel" like it can condition 'martially'. So I don't know which will effect the most beneficial change over time, so noting as a point of exploration and to remind me to bring up the question in class. What this did lead to was greater stillness to the point that thinking seemed to cease , different from just quieting monkey, and a times the in/out , subject/ object of self/world seemed to dissolve. I'm not evaluating that as desirable, good or bad. Just noticing the effect at this stage butI do have concerns that, although I felt very present, I dont want to get into looking for what might end up being a not so healthy detachment, but we'll see what happens further down the road.
