Impossible to Complete

New Years ruminations. ( work in progress )

We each impose meaning on our lives, seeking compete integrated experience. We fail. This is the nature of things. This ongoing process of trying and failing is also called growth. We learn only when we risk failure, no failure, no learning. Over time we come to see this as an impersonal process, shared by all and we are able to take on more risk to learn more.

Discovering, developing and testing a set of principles to guide action is a lifelong, continuous effort. The more time invested with greater quality, the better our ability to see completeness in our everyday lives.

Integrity is expressing our principles throughout every action and aspect of our lives.

Accepting the impossibility of complete-ness as our nature, yet still striving and growing, over time, results in wisdom.

The complete-ness we seek rests on mental ease and physical relaxation which gives access to the present moment. Looking to the past or future for compete-ness is folly. Let go the unimportant simply by seeing it clearly as unimportant. Maintain this perceptual clarity.

This is the answer to the question of where to devote our enegies in training.
