Stillness Module Update

I am about half way through the Stillness Section and thought I would post an update on what's going on for me.

I am still uncovering layers regarding my left side, which feels weaker or "different" in ways that shift every few months. Recently, I have noticed that the outside of the left calf muscle feels frozen, as if the fascia is stuck. On that same side, the "Send-Receive" practice from the Recalibration/Hold Ball lesson has revealed a perceived weakness in the left inguinal fold. I’m not concerned; rather, I'm interested in what the process reveals and am referencing it here for my own record.

I have been feeling the clavicle pulling down and how the central anti-gravity thrust through the spine seems "balanced"—for want of a better word—by this downward pull. In relation to this up/down, I feel that I need to let my ‘heels drop’ and find more release around the leg cavities. I also have the sensation that the master cavity wants to move back more, but my kidney/rib area feels stuck; I suspect the leg cavities could help facilitate that release. Any suggestions would be very  welcome.

Additionally, I have been working on clarifying the "hip-to-hip disk" and "anchor sacrum" while trying to maintain that awareness during bends and the "send and receive" movements.

Had an interesting experience the other day related to the above. I had been holding all the 'couples' I was able to while standing, then taking that into bending and partial squats, and also working on anchoring the sacrum and using the wall exercise you did with Patrick. After I finished this practice I sat and took some notes, then I got up to do something and found myself out of the chair wondering how I had just got up as it seemed absent of effort ;)  The pelvis and top of legs relationship feels like it's changing.

Light Yi/Heavy Yi
I am still exploring this and have recently noticed that my eye muscles feel tight, and I’m certain this is tied to how I manage attention and focus. This connects back to my last blog post regarding stillness and my desire to find a "lighter Yi"—not only in my practice but in my everyday life and work. So attending to this  ‘signal’ throughout the day is proving  useful, I am noticing effects reaching the neck and the esophagus. (must be pretty tight eh? ;) )

Beyond these observations, I am doing the daily work of battling the body's tendency to automate everything. I blogged back in October about how I was feeling the perineum and esophagus release before I had even gone through the "10 points." I have to keep reminding myself that I won’t find new insights by starting from a habitual, "achieved" state; I need to return to the basics every day.

At this point I don't really have any other questions, I usually find them answered in the video lessons. I am just working through the material and things keep slowly changing.
