Hip roll still puzzles me

Hi Sifu,

One slight concern. I'm going to review this again this week and see if I pick up something I missed before or if it just clicks this time around. But, I think I'm still not quite getting the idea and the feel of the hip roll from the early lessons of Stage 1. Don't know if it's a lack of beginner's mind or why, but I'll keep reviewing and hope it clicks.

Quick question

Hi Sifu,

Well, after a back injury (not related to practice) that took two weeks to recover (still not totally healed) and a serious illness for my mother which also took weeks for recovery, and general life stuff getting in the way, I've finally increased my practice again from about 2 times a week to every day, twice a day.

I still owe you videos and for some reason I'm very intimidated by the idea. But, I'll start this week doing just a little at a time. Figure if I can just take the first step, maybe the flood gates will open.

Feeling High Pressure Hose To Occiput?

Should suspending the crown feel like the back of your neck is a high pressure hose and the pressure is highest at the occiput? Like the neck is a hose and the base of the occiput is a balloon. This feeling is brought on passively not due to force.

ILC Winter Retreat - Thank you!

Thank you to everyone who made the 1st Annual ILC Winter Retreat an amazing success.

Thank you Sifu Sam Chin and Simo, Yen Lee and Yin Yin for choosing Tucson as the location for the ILC Winter Retreat and the first public 7 Days training intensive in the US.

It was wonderful seeing students from the US get a chance to meet and train with Alex Skalozub, Daria Sergeeva, as well as see, in the Russian visitors skill, where our training curriculum can take students dedicated practice.

TJ Feb. 23

Thur. Feb. 23:  Everything looks different, literally and visually when going back to some of the videos after some time training has gone by.  As I am beginning to understand a bit more about the 13 points (each of them), as the relaxation and the ease and release become deeper and deeper adn the yin and yang become more and more distinct deeper in the body....

TJ Feb. 10

Fri. Feb. 10:  Yin and Yang.  They are not the same.  I have tendencies to 'yang' some of the yins and 'yin' some of the yangs.  If I can (and I did the other say it was magical) just yin the yin, and just yang the yang...

A valid plan for solo practicing

I must say that my experience with this e-learning approach here at Chi Factory is of great value even if someone has not the ideal condition of finding partners to train as it has been my case. So after completion of stage two I’m happily reaping the many benefits of such a thorough program.

It is never enough to thank sifu’s teachings.
